Social Justice & Sustainability Living & Learning Community
The Social Justice LLC welcomes freshmen who are pursuing any major or are presently undeclared. This community focuses on creating discussion and action around issues central to the 21st century: climate change, discrimination based on gender, race, or sexual preference, and poverty.
- Take a university seminar that connects education to social change and general education classes in the Sociology and English departments that help to identify the causes of poverty and injustice
- Participate on panels about diversity
- Spearhead projects that work to minimize our carbon footprint
Participate in social movements on and off campus- Connect to international programs such as Heifer International, ACLU, and the Southern Poverty Law Center
